The Friday Five

Here's my fun Friday answers for June 11, 2010.

1. Tea or Coffee or juice in the morning, and why?
Coffee in the morning. Juice has too much sugar, and tea was giving me kidney stones. Besides, there's nothing like a good ole cup o' Joe in the morning.

2. What's your typical breakfast on workdays, and what on weekends?
Everyday is a workday (LOL), but I like my english muffin breakfast: a high fiber multi-grain english muffin, one scrambled egg, half a slice of cheddar cheese, and one slice of bacon. It's delicious, filling, and energizing. Weekends we like pancakes and sausages.

3. What do you drink through the day?
Water. Lots of water.

4. Best snack?
Raisins. I like Sunmaid Vanilla Yogurt covered raisins best.

5. Your favourite dinner when you cook for yourself alone?
Pasta. Either spaghetti cooked in olive oil and garlic or macaroni in marinara sauce. With plenty of parmesan cheese, yum!

Have a great weekend!

I love pasta! Thank goodness they make whole-grain now, or I'd really be in trouble!

Ah, my sweet dear sister. I must give you a lesson on teas. :) Not all teas give you stones. Only those with oxalic acid do.

Seriously, you can enjoy tea ... check out this site: http://www.adagio.com/info/what_is_tea.html?SID=c561de344b14e5fb612bfe518fdfe414

You will be surprised at how different each type of tea is. Black tea is very high in oxalic acid so definitely stay away from that. But Rooibos tea doesn't have oxalic acid so it's safe to drink. And it has a natural sweet (almost honey like) taste. At least that's my opinion.
