Observing My Senses

For Today, August 28, 2010...

I am seeing...rain come down on a sunny day. In hispanic culture, there's a superstitious belief that when this occurs a witch is getting married. We have lots of witch weddings here in South Florida.

I am feeling...grateful to the Lord because my brother is getting out of the hospital today. It was determined that his blood pressure dropped, causing him to pass out. His blood pressure medicines have been adjusted, his wrist has a cast, and he can go back home. Praise God for His mercy and healing!

I am hearing...the computer fan, and of course Saturday morning cartoons. They've been a household staple since I was a child.

I am tasting...pumpkin spice cake. Oh yeah, cake for breakfast. It's my favorite fall treat, and since school started this week I thought I'd get in the spirit of fall. It doesn't feel like autumn in South Florida AT ALL, but I can dream can't I?

I am smelling...coffee. My morning treat everyday of the year.

It just takes a moment to observe your surroundings. Won't you join me?
