The Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today, December 7, 2010...

Outside my window...it's black as pitch. I should have called this my Simple Woman's Nightbook.

I am thinking...about my daughter, who still has a couple of finals to go.

I am thankful...the Lord gave us His Word to teach us, discipline us, and guide us closer to Him.

I am going...to dress warmly tonight - it's supposed to get down to 39 degrees in South Florida!

I am wearing...a grey hoodie, lavender sweater over a pink striped button down shirt, jeans, and (get this) brown flip flops. My feet aren't cold, the rest of me is! LOL!

I am noticing...how bundled up we Floridians get when the temps go below 60 degrees!

I am currently...working on some important stuff with my hubby. Details later.

I am reading...nothing more than my Bible. December is a really busy month, no time to sit and read :(

I am waiting...another week and then I won't be 46 years old anymore. I don't like that. I've enjoyed being 46.

On my mind...new things for the new year.

From the learning rooms...E is memorizing Bible verses so well, I am amazed! Thank You Lord for the work You're doing in my son's life! He is excited about scripture memorization!

I am pondering these words..."Christmas isn't about a day on the calendar. Christmas is about hope and the journey to get it." - Dr. Bob Barnes.

Around the house...I still have another load of laundry to do, but yesterday I got really caught up. Yay me!

One of my favorite things...the warm penguin socks my sister gave me for Christmas. They are gonna be on my feet tonight!

A few plans for the rest of the week...just the usual stuff.

Wanna join in the fun? Visit Peggy at the Simple Woman's Daybook. Have a blessed week.

I forgot to mention that I LOVE the new blog look! :)

I watched the nation wide forcast today, so we can start getting an idea on what the weather's doing. They said that even Florida couldn't escape this cold front that came through.

Growing up in Colorado, we'd put shorts on when it got up to 50 degrees, but now that we live in the South, we're putting on heavy jackets when it drops to 50! lol!

I'm thankful that E is doing good with memory verses...it's so sweet to hear kids memorize scripture. It is also so wonderful to know how much improvement he's made this past year!

I love warm fuzzy socks too. It's a good thing to memorize scripture and an even better thing to learn Bible doctrine. Have a great week, Doylene
