Chats on the Farmhouse Porch

Oh my word!  I just read the funniest, absolutely cutest blog hop post ever!!  I encourage you to head on over to Everyday Rurality and read here so you can see what I mean.  While you're there, I'm gonna go ahead and answer their blog hop questions so I can have some fun too!

1. What's your favorite room in your home?
That would be the family room, because it's where my family hangs out.  We hang out in the living room too, so I like that room a lot.  We eat and play board games in the dining room, so that's another cool room.  Come to think of it, I pretty much like my whole house :).

2.  If you could go anywhere on a vacation, all expense paid, where would it be?
I'd love to go to our nation's Capitol.  There's so much to see and learn.

3.  Were you a girl scout or in any similar program?
I wasn't.  I didn't join clubs or anything in school.  I was very shy.

4.  What's your favorite frozen treat?
I love ice cream, but since I'm lactose intolerant it doesn't love me back :(.  I have found a treat I like:  pineapple coconut fruit bars.  They are so delicious and refreshing!  They're also the next best thing if you can't have ice cream.

5.  Are you NASCAR or the elderly lady with the pillbox hat when you drive?
I am definitely NOT a NASCAR driver.  Then again, I'm not the elderly lady either.  I'm a cautious driver when I'm in the city because in South Florida folks drive like they own the expressways.  There's too many cars and not enough roads.  Once I'm out of South Florida I drive faster but still cautious since I have precious cargo in my car:  one or more of my kids, and possibly our dog.

Pineapple and coconut sounds like an exotic combination. I've never quite thought of the 2 together. Yums :)

I'm going to have to try those bars. They sound perfect for a hot summer evening.

My choice for the trip was the Holy Land...the capital might be my second choice....or New York to visit the site of the 911 tragedy. The pineapple coconut fruit bars sound great!

The porch is a social community for me, and for some of the other gals as well. It is always such fun to welcome someone to the porch. I'm glad you decided to join us!

You would enjoy Washington DC, I grew up not far from there since my dad was at the Pentagon. There are many things to see, but I do not recommend summer trips there. Everyone else has that idea, and the pavement cooks.

One of your pineapple-coconut bars would just hit the spot right now.

I look forward to seeing you at the blog party next week. 52 weeks!
