Five Question Friday

Happy Friday y'all!  I was just thinking how, at this same time last week, my daughter, youngest son and I were cleaning their apartment, and their dad and older brother were already on their way with a truck full of their furniture and belongings to our home in South Florida.  So much has happened since then; I had to rearrange furniture, find places for things, throw out empty boxes, give items to Goodwill...the list seems endless, but now I can enjoy my home again with my children.  I'm a happy mama.

Last week I didn't get to do my Five Question Friday post due to the move, so I'm even more excited to do it now!  If you wanna give it a go, visit Mama M at My Little Life.

1. Is love at 1st sight possible?
The only love at first sight I believe in is the love a mother feels when she sees her newborn baby.  I personally do not believe in love at first sight between a man and a woman.  I believe in intense like at first sight, and lust at first sight, but true love, the kind that stands the tests of time, is based on trust and understanding, and that's not something you get when you first meet a person.

2. How did you choose your pet's name?
You know, I can't explain it, other than she looks like a Molly.  When she showed up at our doorstep that's the name that came to mind.  My daughter was thinking of a name and asked, "What do you think of Maggie?" and I immediately responded, "I was thinking more like Molly."  My daughter's face lit up and she said, "Yeah, Molly's good!"  I think that just like God sent her to us and put her at our front door, He gave us the name as well.

3. What are you considering giving up (cable, home phone)?
I already got rid of the land line (home phone).  If it were up to me I'd get rid of satellite TV too.  We watch more Netflix than network television, and Netflix is cheaper.  It's not my decision, though.

4. How much do you pay your babysitter?
Praise the Lord I don't have that problem anymore!  My youngest son is 12 1/2 and I can leave him alone for short periods of time.  Now that the older kids are here, if I have to leave him with them it's not a problem.  I don't know what we paid babysitters in the past; they were always family and my husband would pay them.

5. How "young" is old enough to babysit?
While maturity plays a big part in this, I would say 14 is a safe age for most babysitters.  I would want to know them very well before leaving my kids with them, though.
