Move It Mondays

It's the start of a new week, and the last week of September.  This year is going by pretty quick!

Today has been one of those days when I think, "No wonder everyone hates Mondays."  Just a hectic run around trying to figure out where to get the oil change done on my car.  J had told me I could get 3 free oil changes from the dealer.  When I called this morning I was informed only the first oil change was free, unless I had vouchers for additional freebies.  I didn't.  I asked J who had promised him this, since the salesman says he isn't authorized to do so.  J said the salesman had written it down.  I went through every slip of paper and found nothing.  So then, it was hunt for a place that will do the job for under $30, which is my budget.  The dealer wants $50, Jiffy Lube wants $42, and Pep Boys has a special this week, $27.  Guess where I'm going?  Yep, taking my car to Pep Boys at 1:00pm, and hopefully I'll get out of there before having to pick up my son from school.  Thankfully his big brother is home and will do that for me if I don't get done in time.

Speaking of my youngest boy, he's doing a Heritage report for his Civics class.  He's fascinated with some of our family's history.  I'm so glad I get to share this with him.  It's part of who he is, and he should get excited about it.

I'll be leaving soon to get that oil change for the car, but first I'm enjoying a lunch of tacos, homemade, not that Taco Bell junk.  I also need to put gas in the car, then stop by Home Depot to get a toilet repair kit, because the toilet in my bathroom is leaking.  All this as I watch the clouds start to roll in; it'll be another rainy day in South Florida.  Hope your day is filled with sunshine (or rain, if you need it).  God bless!

Hi Arlene!

I have to live on a budget too - I love good deals!! Hope the oil change went well!

I also love family history!! I am one who believe we should all be proud of who we are and were we came from - no matter what! Those who came before us endured so many trials, I thank God from them everyday!

Hugs,
Barb
