The Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today, October 30, 2012...

Outside my window...the sun has gone down and the temperatures are dipping too.

I am thinking...of all the damage that Hurricane Sandy did in the northeast.  It's quite extensive.

I am thankful...that my family was able to get through the storm with no problems, not even loss of power, praise the Lord.

I am going...to take a shower soon.

I am wearing...a long sleeved grey top, jean skirt and flip-flops.  It's 67 degrees out, with low humidity.  Nice sleeping weather.

I am noticing...a slight chill in the air.

In the kitchen...we had fried chicken, stuffing, summer squash and salad.

I am creating...this post.

I am reading...Unglued, by Lysa TerKeurst.

I am hoping...power can be restored to the folks in the Northeast, and cleanup can be done quickly and effectively, so the families can start to get their lives back to normal.

I am looking forward to...Trunk and Treat tomorrow night.  It's a church activity where folks decorate the trunks of their cars and give out candy.  The kids love it, and it's a safe place.

I am hearing...the Duggars.  It's a 19 Kids and Counting marathon.

Around the house...I did a lot of cleaning today.  The floors were covered in dog hair :P.  I vacuumed and mopped and the place looks great.

A favorite quote of the day..."If there were no God, there would be no atheists." - G.K. Chesterton.

One of my favorite things...evenings in the fall.

A few plans for the rest of the week...Trunk and Treat tomorrow, turning the clock back Saturday night, church on Sunday.

Wanna join in the fun?  Visit Peggy at the Simple Woman's Daybook.  God bless.

Arlene, I know about dog hairs, our dog loves to roll on her back on the rug.
Have a great time at the Trunk and Treat.
Blessings.

I need to do this again. I only joined in one time recently and that's it. I should get myself into gear to this. Oh well, maybe I shall and post it tomorrow. That's about my speed these days to run one day behind. Thanks for stopping by!
