The Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today, October 9, 2012...

Outside my window...the sun is shining brightly, and it looks and feels more like a summer than a fall day.

I am thinking...very little, after having taken a Benadryl for my allergies.

I am thankful...that I can be home with my son when he's not feeling well.

I am going...to see if my little guy is hungry.  He had a rough night, getting up 4 times to throw up, and has had fever all day.  He's eaten a biscuit and nothing else today.

I am wearing...my I *heart* VBS t-shirt, denim sorts and flip-flops.  It's 84 degrees but feels like 90 thanks to the humidity.

I am noticing...Christmas movies popping up on Netflix.  I've watched a few already.

In the kitchen...I made ground beef and rice, my son's favorite, but he hasn't eaten any :(.  I think his stomach is still too sensitive.

I am creating...next week's menu in my mind.

I am reading...whenever I get a chance, which seems like not very often.

I am hoping...my son feels better soon, otherwise it'll be a visit to the doctor's.

I am looking forward to...Awana tomorrow.  After the conference there are some things I'd like to put into practice.

I am hearing...the air conditioner, and my nails on the keyboard.  My son is in the bedroom watching cartoons.  At least I think he is; I hear the television but he may have fallen asleep again.

Around the house...there's dog hair on the floor again.  I just vacuumed yesterday, but with Molly shedding it doesn't stay hairless for long.

A favorite quote of the day..."To be an atheist requires an infinitely greater measure of faith than to receive all the great truths which atheism would deny." - Joseph Addison

One of my favorite things...Christmas movies.

A few plans for the rest of the week...other than the usual Awana, grocery shopping, and church, nothing.  A pretty normal week.

Wanna join in the fun?  Visit Peggy at the Simple Woman's Daybook.  God bless.
