Observing My Senses

For Today, March 9, 2013...

I am seeing...sunshine streaming through the windows.  It's a crisp morning but it should warm up quick with all this bright sunlight.

I am feeling...tired, headachy, sinus-y.  My body isn't accustomed to the dryness in the air.  It's bothering my sinuses.  I haven't slept well either, being careful to listen for my daughter in case she needs anything.  She hasn't bothered me at all, but my mom radar was in full operative mode.

I am hearing...my daughter in the shower.  She's feeling a bit more chipper today.  Her swelling is starting to go down slowly which is encouraging.  I can also hear kids playing soccer in the park.  We live a block away from a large soccer park.  I love this neighborhood.

I am tasting...breakfast.  Pancakes, sausages, and coffee.  I hope to make enough pancakes so I can freeze some for the week.  My son likes pancakes but there isn't enough time in the mornings for that.  If I make them ahead of time all I have to do is warm them up.

I am smelling...the fresh air coming in through the kitchen window.  Our weather has been cool this week, allowing for open windows.  Don't know how much longer that will last; I suspect we're gonna have another sweltering hot summer.

It just takes a moment to observe your surroundings.  Won't you join me?
