Friend Makin Monday

I know, I know, another meme! I can't help it, they're too much fun! Anyway, it's just a peek into my life and my mind. Enter at your own risk ;-).

1) What is your favorite household chore? And what is your least favorite?
My favorite household chore is probably cleaning floors, because I love clean floors. I hate cleaning bathrooms, though I like them clean too. I just prefer someone else clean them ;-)
2)What is your favorite city?
I love Orlando. So much to do, the weather is great, and people are friendly for the most part.
3) Have you found real love yet?
Yes. :D
4) What's one thing you eat almost everyday?
Vanilla yogurt covered raisins. They are such a delicious snack! Come to think of it, I need to pick some up today.
5) What was your last thought before falling asleep last night?
Thank You Lord for this day.
6) What's the worst injury you had as a child?
Um, I can't think of any really bad ones. No broken bones ever. I was run over by a bike when I was about 3 or 4 years old, but just got my knees scraped. That was probably the worst.
7) Will you/have you worked out today?
My workouts consist of alot of walking, and housework. So yes, I've worked out some and will continue to do so throughout the day.
8) Do you tweet?
No. I don't have time for it, nor do I think my life is so exciting that everyone needs to know what I'm doing every moment of the day.
9) List three things you wouldn't want to live without:
My relationship with Jesus, my Bible, my family
10) Hold old were you when you had your first kiss?
I think I was 16. Or thereabouts. As you can tell, it was nothing to write home about.
Okay, now it's your turn! Join the fun at All The Weigh. God bless.

Meet Me on Monday

Here's a fun meme to help you get to know me better. Join in the fun!
1. What do you put on your hot dog?
Anything I can find - ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, saurkraut, chili, whatever is on hand. I'm not a big fan of hot dogs. They give me heartburn and a nasty aftertaste. I've tried several brands but only Nathan's seems to agree with me, and not more than one of them.

2. Do you play Sudoku?
Never tried it. My mom loves it though.

3. What is your favorite vegetable?
Oooh, tough one. I'm a big veggie lover. I'd have to say broccoli, because I like it raw in a salad, or cooked with just a pinch of salt, by itself or with cauliflower and carrots. Even as a child I always loved broccoli. Yeah, I know, I'm weird.

4. Do you color your hair?
Absolutely! My natural hair color used to be black, but once it started turning black and white (emphasis on the white) I decided it was time for change. Now it's reddish brown.

5. What is your favorite brand of clothing?
I like shopping at New York and Company. Their clothing line fits me best and is age appropriate for me.
Now it's your turn!

Move It Mondays

Happy Monday! It's a nice day today, with blue skies and fluffy white clouds. Those energize me, something I need since my daugher went back to school today. I'm missing her already, but hopefully I'll be up to see her later on this month.

As for today, here's my trusty list. I've already cleaned and swept bedrooms, and lunch/dinner is in the crockpot, so all I have left to do is:

* Fold laundry
* Clean kitchen
* Answer some emails

It's a nice slow day. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do.

Move it Mondays is hosted by Kristilea at In The Lord's Path. Have a blessed week.

Observing My Senses

For Today, January 29, 2011...

I am seeing...the sun pouring in through the windows. It's gonna be a bright sunshiny day.

I am feeling...thankful that my daughter is home and we had game night last night. Kid's Cranium is so much fun!

I am hearing...the dishwasher. I thought I turned it on last night, but it was open this morning. Or maybe someone opened it and forgot to close it again. Not sure, so I started it up this morning.

I am tasting...turkey and swiss on a vienna roll. For breakfast. I was in the mood.

I am smelling...my son's breakfast sausages. He loves those.

It just takes a moment to observe your surroundings. Won't you join me?

Five Question Friday

Welcome to Five Question Friday! I love these questions more than any other meme I've done, and I do quite a few! These are kinda sorta off the wall, like me.

1. If you had $1,000 to donate to a charity, which would you choose?
I would love to send $1,000 to the Lockwood Family. They are missionaries in Mexico and have 12 beautiful children. I know they'd put those funds to good use.

2. Snow days: Do you welcome them happily or are they a pain in your butt?
What is this "snow day" you speak of? We've had "hurricane days", where school gets cancelled because a hurricane has hit and powerlines are dangerously lying over the roads. But snow? What is that?!

3. What talent did you wish you had and why?
I'd love to play a musical instrument. Like piano or violin. Really well. With or without sheet music. That would be soooo cool.

4. Are you a news, politics or celebrity gossip junkie?
If I had to choose from the three, I'd pick news. Not that I'm a "junkie", but I'm just not into politics much and celebrity gossip gives me a headache.

5. What is your favorite "cocktail"? (Are you a beer person, a kiddie cocktail junkie, or perhaps you're more the "Cosmo" kind?! Anything flies...doesn't hafta be alcoholic!)
Good, because I don't drink alcoholic drinks. Whenever we go out I order a Sprite. It's our favorite non-caffeine drink. Otherwise, I have water. Lots and lots of water.

Please join Mama M at My Little Life and tell us some trivia about yourself. Have a blessed weekend.

Another Thursday Thought

Thursday Thought

"My Lord, I have received much from thee, blessed be thy name for it; but there is yet a promise more which I have not enjoyed; therefore I will go forward till I attain its fulfillment! The future is an unknown country, but I enter it with thy promise, and expect to find in it the same goodness and mercy which have followed me hitherto; yea, I look for greater things than these."
- Charles H. Spurgeon, According to Promise
