For Today, September 22, 2012...
I am seeing...rain, rain, and more rain. We had thunderstorms yesterday afternoon into the night, and they aren't finished yet. It's cloudy and wet outside. Inside, it's warm and cozy :)
I am feeling...like fall, even though the temperatures aren't any cooler. The cloudiness outside and all the fall decor inside reminds me that today is the first day of autumn, my favorite time of the year.
I am hearing...the rain, as it cascades from the roof into the front yard. We didn't have gutters put on the house when we bought it. Talk about epic fail :P
I am tasting...a pumpkin spice Eggo waffle, pumpkin spice swirl bread, bacon and coffee. I am enjoying this pumpkin spice season so much! Yes sis, I will eventually try the pumpkin spice waffle recipe you sent (I already have a Belgian waffle maker), but for now I'll savor the taste and ease of popping an Eggo in the toaster oven!
I am smelling...coffee brewed in my new coffee maker. It is so nice to be able to have my morning coffee without interruption, while seeing the rain.
It just takes a moment to observe your surroundings. Won't you join me?

I just don't like pumpkin spice or spice cake. I've eaten pumpkin pie but it's not a favorite. (And the recipe was so when all your pumpkin spicy things are gone from the stores, you can still have your pumpkin spicy waffles.) :)
