"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse." - Romans 1:20
I took a walk today in the park which is across the street from our house. It's not a very large park; I can walk at a regular pace around the entire perimeter in about 20 minutes. But there is so much to see and appreciate. It's a matter of not just looking, but observing.
The weather today is perfect - sunny, warm, breezy. The sky is a beautiful baby blue, and the clouds are puffy white cottonballs. The grass is a splendid green, with little white flowers popping up here and there. The different variety of palm trees, coconut, sabal, fan, all different shades and all swaying in the breeze. There are other trees too, flowering trees and bushes. I saw brilliant red, orange and purple flowers, sweet smelling and bright, and I thought, "God is an amazing decorator!" As I looked at all this beauty I knew it couldn't just have appeared out of nowhere. How can something so majestic and full of life come from a tiny seed? Is it just coincidence? No, it's creation. And today I'm thankful for God's creation, from the tiniest seed to the tallest tree, from the blade of grass to the bird of paradise, every single one of God's creations is special, unique, and beautiful. How dull our world would be if it were all in shades of grey! He created everything so that it would be exquisite, and so that our life here on earth would be enjoyable. Thank You Father!
This month, Thankful Thursdays is hosted by Laurie at Women Taking a Stand. God bless.
