I was surprised to find I got back down to 131.4 lbs this week. I think I figured out what it is. I started walking my son to and from school each day, about 4 blocks each way. It's good exercise for us, and we get to talk and joke around during that time. However, there were a few days off from school because of holidays, and we didn't walk due to the rainy weather. I didn't realize the 30-40 minutes of walking each day made such a difference, but it does! My body quickly got accustomed to that exercise.
The other problem was that I wasn't getting enough water. I know I should drink 8 glasses per day, but I was getting in 4 or 5 and struggling to drink more. This week I've tried hard not to forget and get plenty of water in. Sure enough, my body is beginning to feel more cleansed.
Keeping healthy isn't a fad diet that ends after 6 weeks or once the goal weight is achieved. It's a lifelong journey, one I intend to stay on for the long haul!

I meant to tell you: if you start losing more than you want, just add a protein to your afternoon snack. For example, 2 to 3 ounces of salami would give additional calories and more energy.
The rule of thumb is: if you eat 1200 calories and then burn 500 calories, your intake is actually only 700. To maintain a specific weight, you would need to add in an extra 700 calories to your day ... but not in the form of cake! :)
Thanks so much for stopping by, and even more for the Scripture reminder of purple linen in the Bible. I started reading and found it mentioned a lot. The things you read through a never retain... I love learning and grown in the word and being reminded of those things the slip by!
Blessings,
Sherri
