For Today, January 3, 2012...
Outside my window...it's C-O-L-D!!!! Well, cold for us anyway. It's 55 degrees and windy. The sun is out but it isn't helping the cold. All Christmas break it was in the 70's and 80's everyday. Here it is, first day of school, and we finally get some cold weather. AND there's more to come!
I am thinking...of the year gone by.
I am thankful...for kind, loving people in my life. Family members near and far, friends old and new, and even those I've never met face-to-face. All are greatly appreciated.
I am going...to finish packing up the Christmas decorations, then think up some new decor around the house.
I am wearing...a long sleeved white shirt under a short sleeve button down teal blouse, jean skirt and flip-flops which I'll change to some really cute animal print ballet slippers before I go out.
I am noticing...how attached our dog Molly is to me. She follows me around just so I'll pet her. Such a sweet companion.
I am praying...for my daughter. She goes back to Central Florida next week to finish her last semester of college.
I am hoping...this nice weather continues for awhile.
I am pondering these words..."You can acquire much knowledge, but true wisdom comes only from God."
From the learning rooms...school started up again today. It'll be interesting to hear how it went for my little boy.
From the kitchen...soup of course! What else would anyone have on a blustery cold day like today?!
I am reading...The Vigilante's Bride, still. Maybe, once the house is in order, I'll have more time to sit and read. I miss it.
On my mind...friendships, and how fragile they can be.
One of my favorite things...bundling up under the covers on a cold evening while the wind howls outside.
A few plans for the rest of the week...Awana starts up again tomorrow. We have a library book to return today. More organizing around the house, and hopefully a trip to Goodwill to make a deposit.
Wanna join in the fun? Visit Peggy at the Simple Woman's Daybook. God bless.

Thank you for visiting my blog! I need to put my Christmas decorations away too. Perhaps I'll be able to get that accomplished this weekend. LOL
Hi Arlene!
It is funny how are perspectives are sooo different!!!
The new year always makes me want to change and do things differently too. I am going to take down the tree today and try to get a few things organized.
I love that your dog follows you around to be pet - so sweet.
Hope your weather gets warmer . . . soon!
Hugs,
Barb
