For Today, March 10, 2012...
I am seeing...a messy family room, semi-neat kitchen, on a hazy sunshiny day.
I am feeling...excited! E and I will be leaving in a little while for the Awana games!
I am hearing...cartoons far away. That kid better be eating his breakfast!
I am tasting...oatmeal and coffee. I need a hearty breakfast today.
I am smelling...vanilla, with a touch of cinnamon.
It just takes a moment to observe your surroundings. Won't you join me?

last lent I ate breakfast while doing nothing else..no reading the newspaper, checking emails, writing lists....
made me a lot more mindful and a lot more aware of my surroundings!
